The RAL Color Trend Experience 2027+ does not feature a single hero color but selects 15 shades from the RAL Design System Plus to form the trend palette. Rather than pursuing novelty, it embraces continuity—five colors carry over from the previous year’s trend palette. This year’s report, themed “Inspiration + Craftsmanship,” treats color as a compass and tool, with a pragmatic core message: color is not a final decorative addition but a design tool that needs to be integrated early. RAL’s method is highly data-driven, analyzing 20,000 to 30,000 images from various global sources each research cycle. The 2027+ palette is roughly divided into warm red tones and cooler blue-green tones: pink-brown, spicy red, the returning pepper white, wasabi green, and corundum blue. Different lightness levels are carefully designed to achieve both high-contrast combinations and harmonious tonal unity. “We are not inventing colors, we are identifying colors that resonate with the present,” says Professor Timo Rieke, Creative Director of the RAL Academy. The understated warmth of the 2027+ palette—earthy reds, natural whites, and沉稳 greens—speaks to an era of accelerating digitalization and a longing for authentic tactility.
